Redesign: From 1996 to Now

Before moving forward, it’s good to know where you’ve been.. and how you got there. Here is a quick look at the evolution of the college Web site.

Thanks to the WayBack Machine, we can start with 1996:

1996-1998

1997

Features: frames and static pages

1998-1999

1999

Features: tiled marble background, squished banner

1999-2003

2001

Features: frames, image map, search, collapsible menu

2003-2005

2003

Features: dynamic pages, rotating banner, clean design, consistent navigation, ADA accessible

2005-2006

Features: css based design, search, navigation and content additions (non-credit, GED, ESL)

2006-2009

2009

Features: animated slideshows, featured announcements, content additions (video, photo galleries, resources, etc.)

NOTE: Feb. 2007, COD’s student paper examined and rated local community college home pages. CLC  was given high marks. View the article pdf

      You’re welcome.. definitely an interesting research project. Yup, I joined March 2006.
